Yuki Yunes

Yuki Yunes is an Electrical Engineer for BHI’s Engineering Department since October 2005; on 2005 he obtained his Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) Degree in the area of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez (UPRM). On 2003 he graduated top of his class from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) Santiago, Dominican Republic where he holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (BSEE).
From July 2002 to December 2002 he worked as an automation and controls engineer for the Grupo Leon Jimenes partner of Phillip Morris USA, where he worked at the automation department for the cigarettes manufacturing process.

From January 2003 to June 2005 he worked as a research assistant for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – Cooperative Remote Sensing Science and Technology Center (NOAA-CREST) of the UPRM under supervision of Prof. Ramon Vasquez, where he conducted work on Algorithms for Image Classification using Wavelets and Fusion Methods. On July 2003 he presented an article on the International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN 2003) held in Portland, OR. On April 2004 he presented an article on the Defense and Security Symposium (SPIE 2004) held in Orlando, FL.
